Miniature horses are not the only animals we have and enjoy. Texas longhorn cattle populate our fields over the winter months then move to my parents farm to keep their pastures mowed, we retain the bull and a cow here all year but a few get to travel. We don't keep many, just a few for lawn ornaments and the occasional beef.
We also have some hair sheep, these are the sheep that shed their winter hair .They have no wool so you do not have to shear them. They are raised primarily for their horns. A lot of animals have interested us and we have raised fallow and sika deer Emus and Rheas, Pygmy Goats and Parakeets. We still have most of these animals roaming here a pair of sika deer and a momma pygmy goat with her twin girls also a few finches. The miniature donkeys have left us a little while back and I kind of miss them a little now but who knows what's around the corner. The geese, poultry and peafowl all add to the beauty of the animal kingdom here and they are of show quality.
So take a look and see what we have to show you. And keep watching to see what might be coming (I have been eyeing a camel) .If you are interested in any livestock let us know. We will be sure to post any animals we have for sale on DSAcres.com.
